Bobrek’s Death Diary
Welcome to Bobrek’s Death Diary.
This page is a testament to the struggles of a levelling warrior, or just a page for you to laugh at how many times I died like a noob. Whichever you prefer is fine with me, and I hope that it will bring a smile to your face one way or the other.
It’s important to note at this point that I had taken a two month break from WoW, and in an effort to stop myself coming back to the game I deleted all my high level characters on my old PvE server. So when I started off my Tauren Warrior on the Shattered Halls server I had no way of funding my character other than battling my way through the game. So, although I started the game with a wealth of experience, in some cases that was a hindrance as I was impatient and ended up doing silly noob things. Anyway, on with the show! … or something.
Level 15 : The Orgrimmar - Undercity Zepelin.
I first had the idea of making a death diary when I died like a total idiot by accidentally pressing both mouse buttons at once, while standing on the edge of the zepelin (I know, silly me). So starting at level 15 I will record every death my poor little Tauren takes whilst soloing to level 70.
Level 15: Killed by a Son of Arugal in Silverpine Forest
This time I was happily questing away, killing moonrage whitescalps when a 24 Elite Son of Arugal appears out of nowhere and gives Bobrek the smackdown for messing with his furry friends. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I went back again to try and get a briathorn when I thought he’d gone and got myself double pwned
Level 17: The Razorsnout escapade
I was happily questing away in the Eastern crossroads killing razormane peeps en-mass. With my new staff, the cauldron stirrer, I was able to fight 2 or 3 mobs at once without dying and so was picking up a good turn of speed. Unfortunatley for me, I became lax, predictable, nabish if you will. I was owned by my lack of checking my targets before I attacked. I attacked a standard geomancer type mob and pulled a rare elite who had the same skin as everyone else around him. I know what you’re thinking, ‘bad news bears,’ and you’d be right. I got cheesed. It’s like being creamed but it’s slower.
The whole event changed. This became a matter of vengeance. I ran back from the spirit healer as fast as I could to beat the respawns, to take him down and get some phat lewt (or lewt anyway). I fought him hard, fought him as well as I could, but I succumbed while his health was on a meer 5%
Angry now, I took my time this time. Cleared an area of mobs so I could move him around and negate his smelly totems. Got my best healing pots on my action bars, and focused. This time he went down with ease and I felt as happy as if I had solo’d MC. My girlfriend wasn’t so impressed but that’s women for you.

yeh i have a 65 tauren warrior and like you said its hard levelling my friend its relatively boring compared to a caster like a mage or a warlock. i started with no funding or anything but know im happily trodding along with a 65 fury warrior with 8.3k health and 8k armor. doing 278 dps with duel wieldeed swords
im on the argent dawn sever and my name is groidybib
happy hunting
