Patch changes 2.1

Well many, many classes got a rather large class overhaul with this patch, and warriors were not excluded by any means.
Tanking warriors will not notice much difference to playing the protection tree, with two rather large exceptions.

Devestate : This ability now includes the effect of sunder armour. This is a HUGE buff to the skill, not only do warriors no longer have to keep tabs on the number of sunders on a target before using devestate, but the initial and final threat of this skill has been increased. This makes tanking in the initial stages of a fight much easier, and doesn’t hurt in the long run either.

Weapon Expertise Rating : This reduces the chance that the enemy will dodge, parry or block your ability. It does NOT improve your chance to hit, that is a seperate stat. Obviously hitting the enemy much more often helps with threat considerably, and it certainly helps with the initial pull, missed first swings can be lethal! Aside from that I have heard rumours that a raid mob will attack with a faster attack speed after parrying an attack from it’s target. However I have no evidence to back that up, it would be an interesting aspect to tanking if it’s true. If anyone has more information on this feel free to share it with me.

Chow for now, Bobrek
P.S

Added an AoE tanking guide to my hints and tips section. Peace out!
